The office of RJ Jurowski Construction, Inc., located in Whitehall, Wisconsin was in need of an architectural refresh. The existing facility was no longer met the space needs required by this growing contractor and the outdated building needed a refresh.
SDS was hired by RJ Jurowski to provide design services for an addition and remodel project that would meet their current needs as well as their anticipated future needs.
A small addition on the front of the building created a welcoming entry point, a larger reception and a small waiting area, as well as create a larger presence from the street. As a general contractor and masonry / concrete sub-contractor, RJ Jurowski wanted their new office to reflect their abilities and to represent different finish options for their clients. When entering the facility, visitors see a flagstone accent wall that showcases their exemplary masonry skills. This new entry features glass walls with stone columns to allow natural light and views to the exterior from the reception area.
A large addition housing three private offices increased the buildings usable area. A bid room and conference room were created in the facility’s center, allowing easy access for visitors as well as employees. The conference room features another stone accent wall, and the bid room will boast a reclaimed wood feature wall in the future. As enthusiastic game hunters, the bid room also allows an area for display of their trophy mounts.
Attached to the office is a three-bay maintenance area. The exterior of this shop also received a refresh to coordinate with the new entry’s facade.
