Faced with the need for additional office facilities, Kell Container, a corrugated container manufacturing company, commissioned SDS Architects to study various options for meeting their space needs.
The three options investigated included adding to and remodeling the existing 1,000 square foot office, constructing a new free standing office building, or razing the existing facility and replacing with a new complex on the same site. Kell Container selected the third option.
Prior to the demolition of the existing facility, Kell Container moved its entire office operations into a temporary quarters consisting of an existing manufacturing area and an office trailer.
The new 4,000 square foot facility features private and open-landscaped office areas, a reception area, conference rooms, and storage. An unfinished basement, which includes a shaft for an elevator, provides expansion space for Kell Container's anticipated future growth.
