Due to a growing dental care need for publicly-insured or uninsured low-income patients, the Chippewa County Dental Foundation constructed a new full-service dental clinic in Chippewa Falls. The clinic was intended to accommodate up to nine dentists, two oral surgeons, and is a federally qualified health center.
The new clinic includes approximately 17,000 square feet of space. It features twelve treatment rooms, six hygiene rooms, five oral surgery suites, and six rooms for pedodontic care, along with support spaces such as offices, waiting areas, sterilization labs, recovery areas, x-ray and storage spaces.
Although the new dental clinic building is owned by the Chippewa County Dental Foundation, a non-profit group, it is managed and operated by Marshfield Clinic's Family Health Center. The Family Health Center operates a similar clinic in Ladysmith, Wisconsin.
The clinic is located on a 2.1 acre site in Chippewa Falls near other health-care facilities including St. Joseph's Hospital and Marshfield Clinic.
