SDS Architects Awards Scholarships to Two Area Students
“As architects, we have both the opportunity and the responsibility of creating the environments in which we live, learn and grow. We appreciate beauty and with a desire to encourage its continuing expression in our culture, SDS Architects offers two scholarships to outstanding, graduating, high school seniors seeking to continue their education in the fine arts (especially visual/digital) or architecture,” says Dale Poynter, firm principal.
Kolton Vought of Barron High School was awarded the $1,000 scholarship and will be attending the UW-Milwaukee School of Architecture & Urban Planning. Brett Pittman from Durand was awarded the $500 scholarship and will be attending Chippewa Valley Technical College for Graphic Design. Both were 2015 high school graduates and will be beginning their college careers with the fall semester. The winners were carefully chosen from a field of outstanding applicants based upon the content and professionalism of their individual applications.
